WHITEWATER

Man, we are in some whitewater right now.  Recently I conducted the first ever wedding at The National Whitewater Center.  For the first act of marriage together, this adventurous couple wanted to go down the rapids in a boat. That’s a great metaphor for marriage and for life.  I heard author Tony Evans say, “We all arrived on different boats, but we are in the same boat now“.  Right now, everybody is in the same boat. People have all sorts of challenges with the economy.  When time, energy, and money is tight, people get uptight.  God promises to all the uptight “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”  There are a lot of things that are out of control, but we do have one choice over which we have control- we can choose who we will follow and how we follow.  I am in the boat with you in the tough times, great times and every time in between.  IMAGINE armies of compassion and passion doing small acts of kindness and courage with great love that lasts forever.  That’s us. Stay in the boat.  Pull hard. Lean on one another. Stay balanced.  Stay together whether wet or dry. Join with me to stay motivated for the Master!   I’M IN!

  4. Become earnest about the word ! For as to the word, it’s first part is faith; the second, love; the third, works; for from these comes life. Jesus Christ
